NEUROPATHY - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

April 10, 2019

Neuropathy is a large and growing issue that affects 30 million Americans. Neuropathy or Peripheral neuropathy can affect a single nerve or many nerves at once. While the cause is not always easily definable, common risk factors include:

  • Diabetes

  • Chemotherapy

  • Alcoholism

  • Age

  • Trauma

  • Certain types of cancer

  • Infections that can lead to nerve damage

  • and more

  • 60 to 70% of those who suffer from neuropathy is caused by diabetes, making it the most common cause of neuropathy.

  • 30 to 40% of all cancer patients have chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy.

  • 23% of those suffering from neuropathy have an unknown cause.

  • Typically, symptoms are a gradual onset of numbness, prickling, and tingling in the hands or feet. It can however spread upward into the legs and arms. Many patients often describe the sensation of wearing gloves or socks when they aren’t.

Other common symptoms include:

  • Sharp, jabbing, throbbing, freezing or burning pain

  • Extreme sensitivity to touch

  • Muscle weakness or paralysis

  • Lack of coordination which can lead to falling

If your autonomic nerves (controls and regulates your internal organs without conscious effort) are affected, signs and symptoms include:

  • Heat intolerance

  • Altered sweating

  • Bowel & bladder or digestive problems

  • Change in blood pressure causing dizziness & light headedness

Typical medical treatments include:

  • Pain relievers

  • Anti-seizure medications (Gabapentin & Lyrica)

However, these treatments can have side effects that accompany the use of the medication.

This is where the K-Laser steps in. The K-Laser is a solution that is proven to get 50% or more relief of symptoms 90% of the time.

The K-Laser is a painless and non-invasive solution to neuropathy with no observed complications.
